Food Waste

As part of March, we have spent a whole week teaching children about raising awareness of our environment and the consequences wasting food has on it. In our rooms we adapted an approach of minimising food waste by understanding portion control and putting this into action during our meal times.  

International Women’s Day

One of our favourite times of the year where we can celebrate all the achievements women have made. At Monkey Puzzle Maidenhead we promoted this in all of our rooms as we wanted to provide learning opportunities where children are able to see how valuable women are to our society. In the baby room the children created a collage full of images from around the world, our toddlers and preschool enjoyed writing down all of the wonderful things they see women doing at home and in nursery.

Mother’s Day

At Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery, we celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful day in inviting our Mothers in for an afternoon tea and to spend some quality time with us.  As well as this all of the children decorated a flower pot and with help from their Mothers filled the pot with compost and planted a flower seed.
